39286 (2025). Hon Marama Davidson to the Minister of Conservation: What has been the approximate cost, if any, of drafting AP No 260 to the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana Marine Protection Bill; including departmental staff time and time spent in Ministerial offices responding to relevant requests?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Department of Conservation informs me that they don’t hold the information on the precise costs solely attributable to drafting AP No.260. However, staff time on the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana Marine Protection Bill more broadly has been approximately one full time equivalent since June 2024. There has been no other substantial expenditure.
