39267 (2025). Vanushi Walters to the Minister of Justice: Was the Electoral Amendment Bill approved by Cabinet, and if so, on what date?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I refer the Member to paragraphs 7.57 and 7.58 of the Cabinet Manual 2023. All Government bills require the approval of Cabinet. The Electoral Amendment Bill was first considered by the Cabinet Social Outcomes Committee on 25 June 2025 and confirmed by Cabinet on 30 June 2025.
