Hon David Seymour: The written advice I received from the Ministry of Education following my announcement of the attendance action plan on 9 April 2024 is listed below
19 April Ministerial and departmental consultation for cabinet paper on mandatory daily provision of school attendance data
1 May - Strengthening parents’ accountability for enrolment and attendance
3 May - Update on the implementation of a public information and behaviour changes campaign focussed on increasing school attendance
30 May - Publishing provisional regular attendance results for Term 1 2024
7 June - Allocating the Regional Response Fund in FY 2024/25
21 June - Review of the legislative exemptions and exceptions to school attendance
25 June - Term 2 and ongoing Provisional release of provisional termly regular attendance data
26 June - Sequencing of Attendance Work Programme
27 June - Options for attendance management plans
Please note some titles have been withheld as they are either sensitive in nature or still under active consideration. It is not in the public interest to release them at this time.
This answer does not cover members of my office who receive a large amount of material every week. Asking them to collate that material would require substantial collation and research and prevent them from undertaking their substantive roles.
