Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Mental Health: Does the Minister agree with the Mental Health and Wellbeing Commission Kua Timata Te Haerenga Mental Health and addiction service monitoring report 2024: Access and options that there is an increasing level of demand for services and people presenting with more complex needs (for example, drug use, neurodiversity, and social issues such as housing instability); and what, if anything, is he doing to address this?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that work is underway that will address the Kua Timata Te Haerenga report, this includes work to address prevalence data; workforce shortages and increased acute community options.
