Camilla Belich to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: What pilot programmes, if any, have been initiated by any departments or agencies for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023, and what were their commencement dates, durations, funding sources and amounts, objectives, and current status?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (the Ministry) that since 27 November 2023, the Ministry initiated the Pacific Healthy Homes Initiative pilot programme. The pilot ran from 1 July 2024 and to 30 June 2025, funded through $4 million in existing baseline funding for 2024/25. The initiative’s objective is to ensure Pacific families have warmer, drier, healthier homes with a particular focus on older Pacific peoples. The initiative has recently been extended to 30 June 2026, with $1 million from existing 2025/26 baseline funding.
