39177 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many Expressions of Interest were submitted to the Parent Resident Visa Ballot from 12/10/2022 to 31/7/2025, representing how many applicants and sponsors, with how much application fees charged in total?

Hon Erica Stanford: The change to a Parent Resident ballot was implemented by the previous Government when the member was the Associate Minister of Immigration. I am advised that between 12 October 2022 and 31 July 2025, 16,648 Expressions of Interest for the Parent Resident Visa ballot were submitted, representing 25,263 applicants and associated with 26,942 sponsors. The total amount of fees collected is NZ$ 8,848,736 (excluding GST).
