39176 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many Expressions of Interest of the Parent Resident Visa were resubmitted to the Ballot from 11/10/2024 to 31/7/2025, representing how many applicants and sponsors, with how much re-application fees charged in total?

Hon Erica Stanford: The change to a Parent Resident ballot, including the requirement to resubmit EOIs after two years, was implemented by the previous Government when the member was the Associate Minister of Immigration. I am advised that between 11 October 2024 and 31 July 2025, 1,942 Expressions of Interest for the Parent Resident Visa were resubmitted, representing 3,042 applicants and associated with 3,129 sponsors. The total amount of fees collected is NZ$ 1,077,500 (excluding GST).
