39058 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the recommended focus area ‘Te Aho o Te Kahu to work in partnership with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora and the Māori Health Authority | Te Aka Whai Ora to refine and implement a new approach to cancer treatment and support that offers patients and whānau cohesive and meaningful options for support and care coordination across all health and social services required as part of the cancer journey’ under ‘System-wide solution 1: A transformative approach to cancer treatment and support’ in the Cancer Control Agency ’Cancer Services Planning’ document?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (January to March 2024) Cancer Control Agency - Te Aho o Te Kahu has continued to support investment in Cancer Navigation services with Health New Zealand, and has continued to develop advice on any future investments in this area.
