Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter January to March 2024 on the recommended focus area ‘Te Aho o Te Kahu to maintain a strong partnership with Hei Āhuru Mōwai to support and strengthen Māori cancer leadership and support Māori cancer leaders to plan for future national, regional and local ways of working’ under ‘System-wide solution 2: National system leadership’ in the Cancer Control Agency ’Cancer Services Planning’ document?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during this quarter (January to March 2024) Cancer Control Agency - Te Aho o Te Kahu continued to work with Hei Āhuru Mōwai. This included a joint presentation at the World Indigenous Cancer Conference in February 2024 and regular meetings of Chief Executives.
