Hon Louise Upston: Corrected reply: I seek and receive advice on policy changes I am responsible for, and the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) provides me advice where there are potential impacts on the welfare system. As noted in WPQ 38921 (2024) and WPQ 38925 (2024), MSD did not provide me with advice on the cohort the RIS for the Taxation (Budget Measures) Bill identifies that is referenced in the members' written questions, nor do I have responsibility for end-of-year tax refunds.
