39028 (2024). Arena Williams to the Minister for State Owned Enterprises: Regarding the Inter-Island Resilient Connection (IREX) project, was the ship building contract “repudiated” in writing, and if so, will the letter be released publicly?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: KiwiRail advise notification of the cancellation of contractual arrangements was provided in writing, by KiwiRail's Ships Programme Director, on 8 February 2024. This will be released once it is appropriate to do so, subject to the Official Information Act.
