39005 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many constabulary vacancies were there on 27 November 2023?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I refer the Member to the attached table which shows the number of Full Time Equivalent Constabulary staff as at 27 November 2023 and the 2023/24 Constabulary Resource Allocation Target. Note, since the introduction of the Policing Act 2008 Police has included Authorised Officers (AOs) within most FTE reporting, and has been included within RAT. The starting point for the Government’s 500 growth commitment excludes AOs. This is also my response to Written Parliamentary Question 39006 (2024).
