Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for the Environment: How much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any, of redundancy processes initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Nicola Grigg: The Ministry for the Environment’s total cost of redundancy payments since 27 November 2023 is $8,254,838.37. Over that period, the Ministry disestablished a total of 237 roles. The Environmental Protection Authority’s total cost of redundancy payments since 27 November 2023 is $636,883.90.
