38988 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister for ACC: Is the Minister aware that the average duration of a formal review as part of the dispute resolution process is about 200 days and the wait time for a first hearing is around 150-170 days?
Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that the 200 day figure that the member refers to is a snapshot in time for cases that have been referred by ACC to an external review provider and does not include in-house resolutions. This is significant, as 47 per cent of all review applications are resolved in-house by ACC and without the need for dispute resolution providers. I am further advised that resolved review applications take on average 30 days to achieve an outcome.
