38969 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: How much was the total cost in New Zealand dollar terms, if any, of redundancy processes initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Chris Bishop: In regard to the Ministry of Transport, I refer the Member to the responses provided to Question 45 and Question 46 of the Ministry of Transport Annual Review 2024/25, and the responses provided to Question 172 and Question 187 of the Ministry of Transport Annual Review 2023/24. For the period 1 July 2025 – present, I am advised the total value of redundancy payments is $163,500. I am advised that the total cost of redundancy payments for NZ Transport Agency was $12,614,244.
