38959 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: How many redundancy processes have been initiated, if any, in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is a departmental agency hosted by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA). NEMA was previously hosted by the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) from 27 November 2023 to 24 September 2025. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I am not the Responsible Minister. The Prime Minister and Minister for Internal Affairs are the respective Responsible Ministers. I therefore refer the Member to the response provided by the Minister of Internal Affairs in PQ 39044, and the response provided by the Prime Minister to PQ 39097.
