Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I refer to my response to Written Parliamentary Question 38648 (2025). Additionally, it is common for officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet to provide briefings in advance of a decision deadline, that I may not consider until closer to the deadline, even if they are in a weekend bag. I receive a significant quantity of papers daily and in my weekend bag alongside a variety of travel and other commitments, and often prioritise my reading and decision-making based on urgency. In this case, I read and considered this briefing pack on 16 June 2025.
