Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Prime Minister: Did the Chief Executive of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet have any communications with Director-General of the GCSB regarding the designation of the American Proud Boys as a terrorist entity under the Terrorism Suppression Act 2002, if so, on what dates?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: The Director-General (or designate) of the GCSB is on the National Security Board and was therefore party to the National Security Board’s advice about redesignating the American Proud Boys at the meeting of 21 May 2025. The Director-General was also an addressee on the Chief Executive’s email to National Security Board members on 24 June 2025.
