Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, the advice I have received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and the National Emergency Management Agency (DPMC) from 17-21 June 2024 is set out in the following documents: • Fortnightly Status Report, NEMA -17/06/2024 • Estimates 2024/25 – Governance and Administration Select Committee Hearing Briefing, NEMA - 19/06/2024 • Briefing: Cyclone Recovery Unit 2024/25 Estimates Examination cover briefing • Meeting with National Iwi Chairs Forum (NICF),19/06/2024, • Report back on actions to speed up the recovery – Cabinet Paper for approval to lodge and talking points for the Economic Policy Committee 26 June 2024, 19/06/2024 • Final Report – Briefing for Fiji Ministerial Meeting, 21/06/2024. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister I have received the following document: North Island Weather Event: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris -20 June 2024.
