Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery: What advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents has the Minister or any member of their Office received, if any, during the week beginning 17 June 2024, by title and date, and what were these documents about?
Hon Mark Mitchell: As the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters relating to my Emergency Management and Recovery portfolio. In my capacity as the Minister for Emergency Management and Recovery, the advice I have received from officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) and the National Emergency Management Agency (DPMC) from 17-21 June 2024 is set out in the following documents: • Fortnightly Status Report, NEMA -17/06/2024 • Estimates 2024/25 – Governance and Administration Select Committee Hearing Briefing, NEMA - 19/06/2024 • Briefing: Cyclone Recovery Unit 2024/25 Estimates Examination cover briefing • Meeting with National Iwi Chairs Forum (NICF),19/06/2024, • Report back on actions to speed up the recovery – Cabinet Paper for approval to lodge and talking points for the Economic Policy Committee 26 June 2024, 19/06/2024 • Final Report – Briefing for Fiji Ministerial Meeting, 21/06/2024. In addition, jointly with the Prime Minister I have received the following document: North Island Weather Event: Progress Update on Categorisation and Buyouts, Sediment and Debris -20 June 2024. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents, including draft documents, from officials in DPMC and NEMA, and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices.
