38636 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How will local councils be able to "monitor demand and rollout the right vehicles, at the right time and frequency" under the new funding and National Ticketing Solution framework?

Hon Simeon Brown: Once the National Ticketing Solution (NTS) is fully rolled out, Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) will be able to quickly access up to date patronage data to inform their investment, customer service, and policy decisions in their respective regions. The NTS programme team is working closely with PTAs and transport operators to prepare the regions to successfully transition to the NTS.
