38620 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How will the funding of $1,957,079,463 for 2024-27 be distributed among the various public transport services and infrastructure projects?

Hon Simeon Brown: I am advised that the public transport programme funding for 2024-27 is to fund existing public transport services, total mobility, and public transport infrastructure operations. Funding distribution is based on the size and associated cost of providing existing services and operations in each region. New public transport services and investment in infrastructure improvements will be confirmed at the adoption of the 2024-27 NLTP.
