38597 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What steps are being taken to ensure that all regions, regardless of their funding increases, will be able to implement and support the National Ticketing Solution effectively by the end of 2026?

Hon Simeon Brown: All Public Transport Authorities (regional councils) signed a participation agreement with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi to work collaboratively on the implementation and operation of the National Ticketing Solution (NTS). An NTS Governance Board and programme team comprising representatives of the participants have been established. The programme team is working closely with each PTA to plan towards a successful implementation, support and operation of the NTS.
