38563 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: How does the Government intend to meet its transport emissions reduction target of a 41% reduction in emissions from the transport sector by 2035 (from 2019 levels)?

Hon Simeon Brown: The Government remains committed to New Zealand’s long-standing commitment to the net zero target by 2050. The approach to reducing emissions from transport will be set out in the second Emissions Reduction Plan. (The CCRA requires this to be published by the end of 2024.).
