Hon Simeon Brown: I have received a commercial-in-confidence briefing from Maritime New Zealand that discusses access to emergency ocean response capabilities in the Cook Strait. Budget 2024 provided funding for Maritime New Zealand to develop a business case to ensure any future investment in emergency ocean response capabilities will provide value for money for New Zealand.
