38553 (2025). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Conservation: How will the Government ensure Treaty commitments are upheld in the proposed changes to conservation land management?

Hon Tama Potaka: The Government is yet to make decisions on how to uphold Treaty settlement commitments as part of the reforms. I am advised that the Department of Conservation is currently engaging with Iwi and post-settlement governance entities about specifically how this will be done. This will inform Government decisions.
