38553 (2024). Hūhana Lyndon to the Minister of Health: What is the Government’s commitment, broken down by financial appropriation, if any, to continue buying COVID-19 vaccines to supply at the current level of eligibility?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Earlier this year, the Government increased the Combined Pharmaceutical Budget (CPB) by $1,774 million over four years to continue access to its current level of medicines due to the fiscal cliff left by the previous Labour Government. Continued access to COVID-19 vaccines and treatments was included as part of this funding uplift to the CPB rather than a separate line appropriation.
