38533 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Will petrol excise duty rates be reduced in proportion to the rollout of electronic road user charges for light vehicles, and if so, on what schedule?

Hon Chris Bishop: No decisions have been made yet regarding the reduction of fuel excise duty rates or any associated timeframes. This will be considered as part of future policy design work.
