38511 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What work, if any, is NZTA undertaking to update its existing mobile app to support electronic electronic road user charges account management, payments, and compliance monitoring?

Hon Chris Bishop: The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) is developing its mobile app to support existing road user charges users, with plans to enable in-app payment functionality this year. Broader integration of electronic RUC services into the NZTA app will be considered as part of future work to transition petrol vehicles to RUC.
