38471 (2025). Scott Willis to the Minister for Energy: What reason, if any, did EECA not meet its target of at least 50 low-emissions heavy vehicles ordered in 2024/25?

Hon Simon Watts: EECA’s ability to meet the target is dependent on sufficient uptake from the market. I am advised that the target was not met because the heavy vehicle market is very constrained, with industry reporting that current market conditions are very challenging for all new trucks.
