38444 (2025). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: Does she agree with the Minister of Transport who said that he was sure that “in time, we will be able to track the number of cones that are removed around the country” as a result of WorkSafe’s road cone hotline and if so, when does she anticipate that these numbers will be available?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand is working closely with NZTA and other road controlling authorities (RCAs) to build a reporting system that will enable RCAs to provide follow-up reporting to WorkSafe on the outcomes of their site assessments. WorkSafe is finalising how RCAs report back to WorkSafe on the outcomes of their assessments of the sites reported.
