38406 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many Expressions of Interest were submitted to the Parent Resident Visa Ballot from 1/1/2023 to 31/1/2023, representing how many applicants?

Hon Erica Stanford: The change to a Parent Resident ballot was implemented by the previous Government when the member was the Associate Minister of Immigration. I am advised that from 1 January 2023 to 31 January 2023, when the member was the Associate Minister of Immigration, 184 expressions of interest for the Parent Resident Visa were submitted to the ballot pool, representing 268 people.
