38405 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: How many Expressions of Interest of the Parent Resident Visa were in the Ballot at 31/7/2025, representing how many applicants?

Hon Erica Stanford: The change to a Parent Resident Visa ballot system was implemented by the previous Government when the member was the Associate Minister of Immigration. I am advised that on 31 July 2025 there were 9,447 expressions of interest for the Parent Resident Visa in the ballot pool, representing 14,313 people.
