Hon Tama Potaka: I do not know exactly how many retirement village operators there are in New Zealand. For information on the retirement village sector in general, see the JLL 2024 New Zealand retirement villages whitepaper https://www.jll.com/en-au/insights/retirement-villages-market-review That report states that the Retirement Village and Aged Care Databases (NZRVD) recorded 41,111 units across 470 villages in 2023.
