38398 (2024). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Māori Development: How, if at all, are the Minister's departments, if any, currently using AI, and what plans, if any, have been developed to manage the risks associated with AI?

Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that its current guidance prohibits the use of generative AI tools by kaimahi. I am further advised this is a protective position whilst a full internal policy on the use and adoption of AI tools is developed for kaimahi.
