Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What did the Gateway 3 Investment Decision review of the Northland Corridor Section 1: Warkworth to Te Hana PPP, conducted between 4 and 8 May 2026, record about the value for money of the project following the reduction of the bidder field to a preferred bidder?

Hon Chris Bishop: The review found that NZTA had executed a well-designed competitive procurement process that had maintained commercial tension for as long as possible to ensure value for money and a manageable Crown risk position.
