38371 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What is the total value of Crown loans and Crown grants made to the National Land Transport Fund since 27 November 2023, and what repayment terms, if any, apply to each loan?

Hon Chris Bishop: Since 30 June 2023, the total of Crown grants and loans to the NLTF is $4,849m. The key loans provided were: $2bn to assist with the 2021-24 NLTP and $3.1bn to assist with the 2024-27 NLTP. Both loans have repayment periods commencing after the NLTP period to which they relate. Both loans have interest applied and are repayable 10 years from drawdown.
