38368 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Sport and Recreation: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Sport New Zealand have had three redundancies, all falling into category (b), ‘all other forms of redundancy’. None of these staff previously made redundant have been reappointed. The Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui (Commission) was established on 1 July 2024. In July 2025, one non-voluntary redundancy was made, and the individual has not been re-appointed to a role at the Commission.
