Camilla Belich to the Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology: How many staff, if any, made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process, as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: As Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, I have no responsibility for any government departments or ministries. With regard to any agency under the Science, Innovation and Technology portfolio for which I am responsible, no staff that were made redundant between 27 November 2023 and 4 August 2025 were subsequently re-employed.
