Camilla Belich to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that since 27 November 2023, 308 staff left by way of redundancy. Within this period, three employees were rehired in permanent full-time roles after being made redundant. I refer the Member to the attached table which provides the number of staff who have left by way of redundancy since 27 November 2023 (redundancy/severance and voluntary redundancy) by month and year.
