Camilla Belich to the Minister for Pacific Peoples: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: Please see the supporting document for the number of staff at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy. I am advised by the Ministry for Pacific Peoples (the Ministry) that no staff made redundant, including those who took up voluntary redundancy, were subsequently appointed to a new role at the Ministry between 27 November 2023 to 4 August 2025, in any employment capacity.
