38307 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister for Māori Development: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?
Hon Tama Potaka: I am advised by Te Puni Kōkiri that 16 staff concluded their employment with Te Puni Kōkiri by way of redundancy between 27 November 2023 and 4 August 2025. There were no voluntary redundancies during this period and none of the 16 staff have been appointed to a new role at Te Puni Kōkiri. The number of staff by month has been withheld to protect the privacy of individuals.
