Camilla Belich to the Minister for Māori Crown Relations: Te Arawhiti: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Tama Potaka: This question relates to a period before and after the transfer of the Māori Crown Relations functions from Te Arawhiti to Te Puni Kōkiri on 24 February 2025. For the period since 27 November 2023 until 23 February 2025 I am advised that Te Puni Kōkiri consulted Ministry of Justice as it does not hold this information. The Ministry of Justice reply is Te Arawhiti is incorporated in the answer by my colleague the Minister of Justice to the same question.
