Camilla Belich to the Minister for Land Information: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Chris Penk: From 27 November 2023 to 4 August 2025, there were 32 redundancies at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ). The attached table provides a breakdown by month for voluntary and other forms of redundancy. Only months where redundancy payments were made have been included in the table. None of the staff made redundant have been subsequently appointed to a new role at LINZ.
