38274 (2025). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Finance: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?
Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury: November 2024 - 3 (all other forms of redundancy) January 2025 - 2 (all other forms of redundancy) May 2025 - 6 (all other forms of redundancy) July 2025 - 8 applications for Voluntary Redundancy were agreed by the Treasury, with exit dates varying to the end of 2025. None of the above employees have been re-employed by the Treasury, in any capacity. For RBNZ, since 27 November 2023, 11 staff members have been made redundant (involuntary redundancy), and none have been appointed to new roles as of 4 August 2025. There have been no voluntary redundancies during this period. I refer the Member to the attached table for the RBNZ monthly breakdown.
