38270 (2024). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many households visiting the Sydenham MSD Service Centre, if any, indicated they were homeless at the time of lodging a housing application between 1 April 2024 and 31 May 2024, broken down by month?

Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the member to the attached tables, which provide the number of clients on the Social Housing Register registered with the respective Service Centre as at end of the month from 1 April 2024 to 31 May 2024, by type of accommodation, and register type. Where a social housing applicant has stated they are homeless, their response is captured under the register status: insecure accommodation, homeless or night shelter. The applicant’s type of accommodation is based on the data held at the date of reporting. Further reporting can be found in the monthly reporting on the Ministry of Social Developments website.
