Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: How many staff, if any, made redundant at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible since 27 November 2023 were reappointed either directly (i.e., without a competitive process) or after reapplying through a competitive recruitment process, as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Erica Stanford: I refer the Member to the attached table, showing the breakdown of the staff made redundant that were reappointed and the mechanism through which they were appointed to their role. I am advised that no staff who were made redundant at Education New Zealand, the Education Review Office, and the New Zealand Qualifications Authority since 27 November 2023 were reappointed as a permanent or fixed-term employee to the same agency.
