Camilla Belich to the Minister of Conservation: Since 27 November 2023, how many staff, if any, at ministries, agencies and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have been made redundant, broken down by month and by (a) voluntary redundancy, and (b) all other forms of redundancy, and of those staff, how many, if any have subsequently been appointed to a new role at the same ministry, agency or department, broken down by employment status (contractor, consultant, permanent, part time) as at 4 August 2025?

Hon Tama Potaka: I refer the member to the attached table for the breakdown of redundancies by month. The Department of Conservation advises me that of the 56 staff who have been made redundant between 27 November 2023 and 4 August 2025, three staff have subsequently been appointed to a new role as at 4 August 2025 – one has been appointed permanently and two are employed on a fixed term employment agreement.
