38220 (2025). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: Further to WPQ 32721 (2025); why then does the Vote Police Estimates of Appropriation 25/26 state there is “lower funding in 2025/26, compared to 2024/25, for Preventing Community Harm from Organised Crime: Cross Agency Approach”?

Hon Mark Mitchell: The referenced statement does not reflect the agreed transfer of $32 million of Resilience to Organised Crime in Communities (ROCC) funding - $16 million in 2023/24 and $16 million in 2024/25 - from Vote Police to Vote Social Development. This was agreed by Ministers of the previous Government, in September 2022. I refer the Member to WPQ 32723 (2025), which notes a net increase of $5.696m in appropriation funding in Vote Police for the Preventing Community Harm from Organised Crime: Cross Agency Approach between 2024/25 and 2025/26 and reflects the correct net figure after including the funding transfer. This was an oversight in preparing the information to support the Estimates process. Overall appropriation amounts are correctly disclosed in the Vote Police Estimates of Appropriations 2025/26.
