38200 (2025). Hon Jan Tinetti to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many, if any, workplace fatalities were reported to WorkSafe during the week of July 28th 2025?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand received six notifications of fatal harm from 28 July 2025 to 3 August 2025. Of the six, two have been determined to not be work-related, and therefore will not be included in official figures. The remaining four are still under assessment to establish work-relatedness.
