38182 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made as at 17 June 2024, toward the recommendation ‘Co-design programme policies’ in Te Whatu Ora’s ‘BreastScreen Aotearoa Quality Improvement Action Plan’?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is currently revising the National Policy and Quality Standards. The current standards are cross-referenced to align with Ngā Paerewa Health and Disability Service Standards. I am further advised that an organisation has been contracted to rewrite the standards and begin early consultation to ensure the standards are more consumer focused and enable effective evaluation.
